How to verify your email address after signup

When you create a KiddyCash account, the first thing the platform asks you to do is confirm your email address. This step is called email verification — it simply means proving that the email you signed up with actually belongs to you. Until you do this, some features will be limited: you won’t receive transaction alerts, you can’t reset your password if you forget it, and logging back in on a new device may not work correctly.

This guide walks you through the process from the beginning, assuming this is your first time.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

  • Access to the email address you used when signing up
  • A working internet connection on your phone or computer
  • Your KiddyCash account open (or the ability to go to https://kiddy.cash/login to sign back in)

Step-by-step: Verifying your email

  1. Complete the signup form. After you enter your name, phone number, and email address and click Create Account, KiddyCash immediately sends a verification email to the address you provided. This happens automatically — you don’t need to request it.

  2. Open your email inbox. Check the inbox for the email address you signed up with. The email will come from KiddyCash and will have a subject line like “Confirm your KiddyCash email address”. If you are in Nairobi or anywhere else in Kenya and you signed up with a Gmail or Yahoo address, check your Spam or Junk folder if the email doesn’t appear within two minutes.

  3. Click the confirmation link. Inside the email, you will see a button or a link that says something like Verify my email. Click it. This opens KiddyCash in your browser and confirms your address automatically. You do not need to copy or type any code — just click the link.

  4. Watch for the success message. Once the link is clicked, KiddyCash will show a message telling you that your email has been confirmed. You are now taken to your dashboard, where your account is fully active.

  5. Log in if you are not already signed in. If clicking the link opens a login page instead of your dashboard, go to https://kiddy.cash/login, enter your email and password, and you will land on your confirmed account.

What if the email didn’t arrive?

  • Wait two minutes and refresh your inbox.
  • Check your Spam, Junk, or Promotions folder.
  • Make sure you typed your email correctly during signup. If you made a typo, log in at https://kiddy.cash/login, go to your profile settings, correct your email address, and request a new verification email.
  • If the link in the email is expired (links are valid for 24 hours), simply request a new one from your profile settings.

What comes after verification?

Once your email is confirmed, you can receive real-time alerts for transactions — useful when your child spends from their wallet or when an allowance is paid out. You can also reset your password at any time without needing support.

The next step many users take is completing KYC (Know Your Customer) — the identity check KiddyCash uses to confirm who you are before enabling features like KES wallet top-ups and M-Pesa withdrawals. You can read what KYC means in KiddyCash to understand the process, then follow the guide on how to submit KYC from your profile when you are ready.
