How to view all investments on a child account
Your investment list is a summary of every active investment tied to a child’s KiddyCash account. Checking it before adding more funds helps you avoid duplicates and keeps your money organised — whether you’re saving up in Nairobi, topping up from an M-Pesa transfer, or managing a kiddy business portfolio.
What is an investment list?
An investment is a pot of money set aside to grow over time. KiddyCash lets a child hold more than one investment at the same time — for example, one for school fees and another for a new phone. The investment list shows all of them in one place so you can see balances and statuses at a glance.
Before you create a child investment, it’s good practice to review what already exists so you don’t set up something twice.
Before you start
Make sure you have:
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| A KiddyCash account | The child’s own account or a kiddy business account |
| Verified identity (KYC) | KYC must be complete before investments are visible |
| At least one investment | If none exist yet, the list will appear empty |
Steps to view all investments
-
Log in to your KiddyCash account at kiddy.cash.
-
Go to your investments page. Navigate directly to your account’s investment section:
https://kiddy.cash/kiddy/account/:kiddy_account_id/investmentReplace
:kiddy_account_idwith your actual account ID. You can find your account ID in your profile settings under Account details. -
Look at the investment list. You will see a table or card view listing every investment on the account. Each entry shows:
Column What it means Investment name The label you gave this investment when it was created Balance The current amount saved, shown in KES or your account currency Status Whether the investment is active, paused, or closed Start date When the investment was opened -
Review before acting. If you plan to add funds, check the balance column first. If you plan to open a new investment, confirm no duplicate already exists.
-
Select an investment to see more detail. Tap or click any row to open the full record. For a step-by-step walkthrough of what you’ll find there, read how to view a child investment.
What if my list is empty?
An empty list means one of the following:
- No investment has been created on this account yet.
- Your KYC verification is still pending — investments are hidden until identity checks pass.
- You are logged into the wrong account. Check that the account ID in the URL matches your profile.
If your KYC is complete and you are logged into the right account, you are ready to start. You can also explore how allowances work as a family financial tool for practical context on how investments fit into a broader family money plan.
Tips
- Bookmark your investments URL so you can return to it quickly each month.
- If you manage a kiddy business, each business account has its own investment list — check the correct account ID.
- Badges may appear on investments that have hit savings milestones. These do not affect the balance.
