How a student views school enrolment status
When you send a request to join a school class on KiddyCash, the school admin has to review and approve it before you are officially enrolled. This article explains how to check whether your request has been approved or is still waiting.
What is enrolment status?
Enrolment status is the current state of your request to join a school class. There are two possible statuses:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | Your request has been sent, but the school admin has not approved it yet. |
| Approved | The school has accepted your request. You are now enrolled in the class. |
Until your status changes to Approved, you will not have full access to the class activities, assignments, or savings goals linked to that class.
Before you start
Make sure you have already sent a join request. If you have not done that yet, ask the adult who manages your KiddyCash account — whether that is a parent, guardian, or the owner of your kiddy business — to follow the steps in how to create a school class and get the correct class code for you.
You will also need to be logged in to your own KiddyCash account or kiddy business account before following the steps below.
How to check your enrolment status
-
Open your browser and go to https://kiddy.cash/kiddy-schools/request. This is your school requests page.
-
Sign in to your KiddyCash account if you are not already logged in.
-
On the School Requests page, you will see a list of every class you have requested to join.
-
Look at the Status column next to each class name.
- If it says Pending, your request is still being reviewed. You do not need to send another request — just wait for the school admin to respond.
- If it says Approved, you are enrolled. You can now go to how to view a school class to start exploring your class dashboard.
-
If you do not see your request listed at all, you may not have completed the join process. Check with the adult on your account and try submitting the request again.
Tips while you wait
- Do not send duplicate requests. Sending the same request more than once does not speed up approval and may confuse the school admin.
- Check back later. School admins in Nairobi and across Kenya are often managing many students at once. Give it at least one school day before following up.
- Keep your wallet active. Some school classes are linked to savings goals or subscription fees paid in KES through your KiddyCash wallet. Make sure your wallet has funds — you can top it up using M-Pesa so you are ready the moment you are approved.
