How to view a school class

A class in KiddyCash is a record that groups learners together under your school account. Each class has its own detail page showing enrolled students, linked wallets, and activity summaries. This guide walks you through opening a class record for the first time.

Before you begin

Make sure you have:

  • An active KiddyCash Schools portal account
  • At least one class already set up (if you haven’t created one yet, see How to create a school class)
  • Your school administrator login credentials

Steps to view a class

  1. Log in to the KiddyCash Schools portal. Go to schools.kiddy.cash and sign in with your administrator email and password.

  2. Go to the Classes section. In the left-hand navigation menu, click Classes. This opens the Classes list, which shows all classes registered under your school.

  3. Find the class you want to open. You can scroll through the list or use the search bar to filter by class name, grade level, or teacher name. If your school is large — say, a primary school in Nairobi with dozens of streams — the search bar saves time.

  4. Click the class name. Click on the class name or the View button in the class row. This opens the class detail page.

  5. Review the class detail page. The detail page is your central view for everything related to that class.

What you’ll see on the class detail page

SectionWhat it shows
Class name & gradeThe class label and year group (e.g., Grade 4 East)
Enrolled studentsA list of learners added to this class, with their KiddyCash wallet status
TeacherThe staff member assigned to the class
Wallet activityA summary of recent transactions — savings, allowances, or spending logged by students
BadgesAny achievement badges earned by students in this class
Enrolment dateWhen the class was created or last updated on the platform

Tip: If a student’s wallet shows as inactive, it may mean their family hasn’t completed KYC (identity verification) yet. You can follow up with the parent or guardian directly.

Once you know your school ID and class ID, you can navigate directly to any class using this URL format:

https://schools.kiddy.cash/school/:school_id/class/:school_class_id

Replace :school_id with your school’s unique identifier and :school_class_id with the class identifier. Both IDs are visible in the URL when you open a record, or you can find them in your school’s settings page.

This is useful if you manage multiple classes and want to bookmark specific records — handy for bursars or coordinators tracking KES allowance flows across classes.
