How to review all child accounts in a family
The child account list is a summary view inside KiddyCash that shows every child (called a “kiddy”) registered under your family profile. Each row in the list represents one child’s wallet — including their name, current balance, and account status. This makes it easy to check on all your children in one place without opening each account individually.
If you haven’t set up your family yet, start with how to create a new family before continuing here.
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
- A KiddyCash parent account with verified identity (KYC completed)
- At least one child account added to your family
- Access to the KiddyCash app or web dashboard
Step-by-step: View all child accounts
-
Log in to your KiddyCash account using your registered phone number or email address.
-
Go to the Family Overview page. This is your main family dashboard. If you’re not sure how to get there, follow the guide on how to open the Family Overview page.
-
Locate the “Kiddies” section. On the Family Overview page, scroll down until you see the section labelled Kiddies. This lists all child accounts linked to your family.
-
Open the full child account list. Click or tap View all accounts. This takes you directly to the child account list, where every kiddy under your family is displayed.
-
Review the list. Each child appears as a row in the list. See the table below for what each column means.
What you’ll see in the child account list
| Column | What it means |
|---|---|
| Name | The child’s display name as entered during account creation |
| Username | The child’s unique KiddyCash handle |
| Balance | The current amount in the child’s wallet (shown in KES for Kenyan families) |
| Status | Whether the account is Active, Suspended, or Pending |
| Badges | Any achievement badges the child has earned through saving or tasks |
| Actions | Quick links to manage the child — view wallet, edit details, or send allowance |
What you can do from this view
From the child account list, you can:
- Tap any child’s name to open their individual wallet and see recent transactions
- Send an allowance directly — useful if you pay weekly pocket money in KES via M-Pesa or a linked bank
- Check badge progress to see which financial milestones each child is working toward
- Spot suspended accounts quickly so you can investigate or restore access
If you manage a large household — say, a family in Nairobi with three or more school-age children — this list view saves you from switching between individual profiles constantly.
A note on teaching kids through their accounts
Reviewing accounts together with your children is one of the most effective financial habits you can build. If your family uses KiddyCash’s loan feature, where parents lend kiddies money they pay back over time, the account list shows outstanding balances clearly. Read why teaching kids about loans creates better financial adults and how family loans work as a financial education tool to understand how to use this well.
Troubleshooting
I don’t see any children in the list. Your family may not have any child accounts yet. Return to the Family Overview page and select Add a kiddy to create the first one.
A child’s account shows “Pending”. This usually means their profile setup is incomplete. Tap the child’s name to see what information is still required.
