How to review the welcome notification after signup
When you complete registration on KiddyCash, the platform automatically sends a welcome notification to your inbox. This message confirms that your account is active and ready to use — whether you’re a parent setting up a family wallet, a school administrator, or a business owner in Nairobi managing staff allowances in KES.
This article walks you through how to find and read that first notification.
What is the welcome notification?
The welcome notification is an in-app message sent by KiddyCash immediately after your account is created. It appears in your Notifications inbox — a dedicated section inside the app where KiddyCash sends system updates, transaction alerts, badge awards, and campaign announcements.
This is different from any email or SMS you may receive. The in-app inbox is where you’ll manage most platform communications going forward.
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
- Successfully created a KiddyCash account (see how to sign up for KiddyCash)
- Logged in using your email and OTP (see how to log in with email and OTP)
- An active internet connection
Steps to find your welcome notification
-
Log in to your KiddyCash account. Use your registered email address and the one-time password (OTP) sent to you. If you’re unsure how OTP login works, review how to log in with email and OTP.
-
Go to your Notifications inbox. Navigate directly to https://kiddy.cash/notifications or tap the bell icon at the top of your dashboard screen.
-
Look for the welcome message. It will appear at the top of your inbox list, labelled something like “Welcome to KiddyCash” or “Your account is now active.” It is typically the first item if you have just signed up.
-
Tap or click the message to open it. Read through the full notification — it contains key information about your account type, next steps, and links to features available to you.
-
Note any action items. Some welcome notifications include prompts to complete KYC (identity verification) or KYB (business verification), especially if you signed up as a school or business. These steps are required before you can send money, create allowances, or run campaigns.
What the welcome notification contains
| Section | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Account confirmation | Your account type (family, school, business) and registration status |
| Your wallet details | Summary of your KiddyCash wallet, including currency (e.g. KES) |
| Next steps | Suggested actions such as KYC verification or adding a child wallet |
| Feature highlights | Brief intro to tools like allowances, badges, and transaction codes |
| Support contact | How to reach KiddyCash if something looks wrong |
If you cannot find the welcome notification
- Check that you are fully logged in. Notifications do not load on the login screen.
- Refresh the page. Go to https://kiddy.cash/notifications and reload.
- Wait a few minutes. On rare occasions — for example, during high-traffic periods like M-Pesa integration rollouts — notifications may be delayed by up to five minutes.
- Contact support if the notification has not arrived after 15 minutes.
